What is Biblical Christian Counseling?

 

Biblical Christian Counseling is based upon the truth that all knowledge and wisdom come from the revelation found in Jesus Christ. "With Him are wisdom and might; To Him belong counsel and understanding.” (Job 12:13) We believe counseling should begin within the context of the local church and this “church-life” setting is what God uses to support, nurture, heal, and protect His people. The answers to all life's problems are found in the Bible, through the healing power of the Holy Spirit and by living in Christ. Biblical Christian Counseling is not clinical, medical, therapy, nor licensed by the State nor other agencies and is supported through free-will donations.

 

Biblical Christian Counseling follows these guiding principles:

 

• The belief that only God can clean and heal the heart that leads us to changing His way.

• The acceptances to obey God’s word as the final authority in all areas of our life.

• A prayerful commitment to do whatever is necessary to change.
